Sam Balassopoulos is our Principal Optometrist and has practiced predominantly in the Northern Beaches for 20 years including being a franchisee of OPSM Warriewood. Sam graduated with an Optometry with Honours and Science degrees from the University of NSW. He has additionally attained a graduate certificate in Ocular Therapy to provide full scope Optometry care.

Sam provides comprehensive and personalised eye care for all age groups with specialties in complicated spectacle prescriptions, contact lens fitting, diabetic eye examinations and eye pathology including digital imaging.

Having lived in the area since attending high school in Collaroy, you will find Sam enjoying a swim or a walk in our beautiful Northern Beaches.

    PRACTICE ALL-ROUNDER, MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

    Effy has a background in Sales, Marketing & Business Administration. As well as managing the social media and marketing for The Eyecare Spot, you can find her in-store assisting the team.

  • Kathie

    OPTICAL ASSISTANT

    Kathie has extensive experience in customer service, reception and sales. She has recently completed the ProVision Optical course and is looking forward to assisting you in choosing the right frames.

  • Issy

    OPTICAL ASSISTANT

    Issy is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology and brings to the team experience in customer service and administration. She loves going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. Issy ejoys looking after our patients in choosing frames, sunglasses and dispensing.

  • Samsara

    OPTICAL ASSISTANT

    Samsara is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts and Global Studies. She enjoys chatting with patients and finding the perfect frame and sunglass for them as well as dispensing. Samsara loves creating art and frequently displays her artistic flair with our window displays.
